 Elijasha noticed the limited amount of Black-Owned nail salons and wanted to break the stereotype that the only community doing nails were Asian owned. Elijasha has always wanted to be either a teacher, artist or a nail tech. Growing up, she noticed anytime she went to the nail salon, she never saw anyone that looked like her. She noticed the lack of African American women in the nail industry and decided a change needed to be made. Gorgeous Nail Couture was founded in May 2017. At the age of 23, she opened her first nail salon. She has now had the pleasure of being in the nail industry for 15 years. Specializing in natural nail care and acrylic full sets. Elijasha can finally say she was able to do everything she wanted to do as a young child. She teaches others how to improve their nail skills, she adds her own touch of artistry to nails and of course she's made her way in the beauty industry with being an amazing nail tech. Elijasha wants to show the little girls that were once her, that WE are here. Gorgeous Nail Couture was made to give clients a relaxing, clean and upscale environment. Elijasha believes great nails start with the care of the natural nail first and prides on educating clients on how to take care of them.
